Veteran Corps Honors Wounded Warriors in 2014 Face of America Bike Ride
Team Veteran Corps supported riders for the third time in three years at the annual Face of America bike ride – their largest event to date! The 110 mile ride from the Pentagon to historic Gettysburg was created to honor our military – veterans, disabled, and active duty alike. This event is something that really makes a difference to veterans and society, something that VCA is proud to be a part of year after year. We had a 21 member team of supporters and riders this year, with returning riders John and Jennifer Wheeler, Mike Staunton, Mike Kiess, Edgar Blanco, and Camber employee Tim Goodwin along with his Faithpoint Church team, and first year team Veteran Corps riders Ed Gaulrupp and Andrew Palisin. Our riders were there to offer a helping hand and encouragement during the race, and our support team was constantly on the go, looking to help however they could – never a dull moment! Not only was VCA a huge support system to this year’s race, we also teamed with Villy Custom to create a one-of-a-kind cruiser bike for the silent auction, which just so happened to make it into the official World Team Sports newsletter!
